DescriptionThey sponsor events for any skill level, and at our event they will teach you how to use a compass and let you put your skills to the test with a course around the fairgrounds. SU's are always looking for a camp top hold their encampments, but this one is not widely known in the Girl Scout community. Come learn what this camp has top offer and maybe you'll have an encampment. They have parks, trails, swimming pools, historical sites, sports facilities, community centers, and just about and program to go along with them. Try a taster of their program. It includes equestrian, aquatics, performing arts, outdoors, science & technology, sports, visual arts, or just do your own thing. Try out there bubble balls at our event. They have high adventure activities at the camp, including climbing towers, zip lines, high diving into the lake, as well as a whole horse camp. With over 30 different camps and facilities they offer many different outdoor, and indoor, opportunities. Learn about the great nature and other programs, and check out some animals you may see at a park. Check out, and maybe taste at the right time, basic and advanced outdoor cooking methods used in Girl Scouting. Learn why so many SU's have their encampments at this park, as well as the great programs available there, whether presented by the SU or park rangers. Not only are they a neat historical site with living history, but they also offer some great programs that work towards badges and other recognitions. Not only does this camp offer high adventure activities, like canoeing and a challenge course, and nature education, like animal tracking and entomology, but they are very close to the Appalachian Trail. This park is located right on the Potomac River and offers nature programs, as well as kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Learn about this growing sport, the devices available to get from GSCNC at no cost, or how to use your smart phone to find caches. Learn about fishing, and fishing with a group of girls, the fishing program at Camp Potomac Woods, and girls can try their hand at casting. They have a number of different parks and facilities, and they offer a number of programs for scouts and kids in general. Try an activity from one of them. Learn all about the GSCNC camps, the neat programs that each offers and Girl Scout camping in general. Try an activity to test your camp skills and win a prize. Learn about not only our nations history at the park, but the great nature and other programs they offer. Then try an activity from one. Learn about letterboxing, the stamps you use, and where to find letterboxes, including our camps that have them. Not only do they have some great historical properties, including a wetlands, but they also offer some great programs, including badge programs for Girl Scouts. |
