Started by a woman who came up through, and loved, Girl Scouting, and then went to fashoin school, this company focuses on things girls love. Come try one of their crafts. They will be demonstrating spinning and weaving, and maybe some other fiber arts, through the day. As you learn the process of an animals fibers to a finished product, see where in the process what they do fits in. They come to your meeting to work on badges. At our event they will have some clay to play with and try in preparation of doing your own thing. Actually, in addition to Paint Your Own Pottery Parties, they also offer Canvas Painting Parties, Clay Creations Parties, Fused glass Parties, and Wheel Throwing Parties. You can complete a project for $5 to be paid at the booth. Making friendship bracelets is anlong tome activity in Girl Scouting, and you will be able to make one for yourself at the event. They offer projects in greenware, bisque or pour your own mold. if you want to try it at Adventure Day you can complete a project for $5 to be paid at the booth. Besides weaving beautiful baskets themselves, this guild promotes basket weaving by teaching and helping others weave a basket during the day. |
